Government Sports Grant

The Sports Premium, also known as the PE and Sport Premium, is a government-funded initiative designed to improve the quality of physical education (PE) and sports in primary schools. This funding, allocated to primary schools across England, aims to help schools enhance their PE, physical activity, and sports provision, ultimately encouraging children to lead healthier, more active lifestyles. 

Below you will find a document with our evaluation for 2024-2025. 

This is how we plan to use the funding for the year 2025 - 2026:

• Develop the PE curriculum further to ensure that all children have a strong knowledge of PE as well as skills
• Hiring specialist sports coaches to work with teachers to increase their subject knowledge.
• Providing places for pupils on after-school sports clubs, such as tennis, gymnastics and many more.
• Further develop the lunchtime provision through the use of the Sports Leaders and provide lunchtime sporting activities from experts. 
• Develop playground equipment to provide further opportunities for pupils to take part in physical activity.
